Autonomous System Design for Mössbauer Spectra Acquisition

Abstract

An autonomous system for Mössbauer spectroscopy based in a microcontroller has been designed. A timer of the microcontroller was used to generate the control signal for the Mössbauer linear motor, and a counter for the spectra acquisition. Additionally, the system has its own memory for data storage and a serial port to transmit the data to a computer for its later processing and display.
