Abstract
Ticks and tick-borne diseases of cattle have been and still are a threat to the development of the cattle industry in Zambia. Other control methods of ticks and tick-borne diseases appear to have been used elsewhere in the world in addition to chemical control. In Zambia, chemical control of ticks appears to have been and still remains the most practical method of controlling ticks and tiekborne diseases. This paper looks at chemical control from the time it was first used to present and future.
