Primary Reproductives and Royal Cells of the Termite Macrotermes michaelseni

Abstract

The queen’s fresh weight can be deduced from her external dimensions, or less accurately from the size of the royal cell in the case of single queens. Cell shapes and methods of enlarging the cell are described.

Le poid frais de la reine peut s’inférer de ses dimensions externes, ou avec moindre de précision de la grosseur de la cellule royale d’une reine unique. On décrit la forme et les methodes d’accroissement de la cellule royale.
