Koreanische Handakupunktur

Zusammenfassung

Die Koreanische Handakupunktur (Koreanische Handtherapie KHT oder im Koreanischen „Koryo Sooji Chim“) geht auf die Entdeckung eines entsprechenden Somatotops durch den koreanischen Akupunkturarzt Yoo, Tae Woo in den 70er-Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts zurück. Wie zuvor schon bei der Ohr-Akupunktur für das Ohr beschrieben, spiegeln die Hände ebenso ein mikrokosmisches Abbild unseres Körpers wider. Durch Stimulation der Akupunkturpunkte auf den Händen kann somit auf viele physiologische Funktionen des Körpers Einfluss genommen werden.

Dr. Yoo beschreibt die Entität von 345 Punkten und 14 Mikromeridianen. Die Meridiane entsprechen, mit geringfügiger Abweichung der Punkteanzahl, den Körpermeridianen und erlauben damit ein gezieltes Behandeln.

Diagnostische und therapeutische Maßnahmen inkl. der drei Behandlungsstufen werden vorgestellt, Vor- und Nachteile gegenüber der Körperakupunktur verglichen sowie der aktuelle Forschungsstand diskutiert. Drei Fallbeispiele geben einen Eindruck über die Praxis der KHT.

Abstract

Korean Hand Acupuncture (Korean Hand Therapy [KHT], or “Koryo Sooji Chim”) dates from the discovery of the corresponding somatotopic area by Korean doctor Yoo Tae Woo in the 1970’s. As is the case with the outer ear in ear acupuncture, the hands also resemble a microcosmic model of the body. Stimulation of acupuncture points located on the hands can influence many physiological functions of the body.

For the hands, Dr. Yoo suggested 354 acupuncture points and 14 micro-meridians. These meridians thoroughly correspond to the body meridians and facilitate specific therapeutic approaches. This article presents diagnostic and therapeutic means, including the three treatment stages, pros and cons in relation to body acupuncture, as well as the current state of research. Three case studies are given to illustrate the practice of KHT.
