Abstract: This article deals with the experimental investigation of the drying of sanitary ceramics by microwave radiation at a frequency of 2.45 GHz on a laboratory scale. The investigated product size varies between 275 g and 12 kg wet mass. For the study, temperature measurement, gravimetric determination of the drying process, electrical energy consumptions and total drying time are considered. It is shown that microwave drying for sanitary ceramics can contribute to a significant reduction of the drying time and to a reduction of the total energy consumption.
