Abstract
Keeping in view the economic importance of the shoulder browning disease, efficacy of various fungicides was evaluated on two commercial mango cultivars Mallika and Amrapali during 2015 and 2016 fruiting seasons for its management along with residue determination and safety evaluation of difenoconazole. Difenoconazole at 0.05% was most effective to control the disease and its residues persisted up to 21 days in mango fruits and dissipated with half-lives of 7 and 6 days from normal and higher rates of application. On all the sampling dates, the residues were below the maximum permissible intake, confirming consumer safety.
