Big data: the filling for the dental-health inequality cavity? A narrative review

Abstract

The field of dentistry has seen significant advancements in recent years with the advent of big data. The use of large datasets and advanced analytics techniques have the potential to address the problem of dental health inequality. This paper explores the potential of big data to fill the gap in dental health care by identifying patterns and trends in dental health data, predicting future dental health outcomes, and developing targeted interventions. We examine the benefits of using big data in dental health research, including improved accuracy, increased efficiency, and reduced costs. Furthermore, we discuss the ethical and legal considerations that come with using large amounts of data in dentistry. Overall, this paper highlights the promise of big data as a tool to improve dental health outcomes and reduce disparities in dental health care.
