Samenvatting

Zuchtend staat hij in de keuken. Zijn gezicht staat bedrukt en ik merk dat hij mijn blik ontwijkt. ‘Wat is er, Edward?’ vraag ik. Hij draait zich om en staat met de rug naar mij toe. Hij schudt zijn hoofd en maakt een handgebaar: niets… Hoorde ik daar nu een onderdrukte snik?
