Abstract

Linguistic spherical fuzzy set is an efficient tool for expressing the membership, neutral, and non-membership grades of assessment information. Moreover, Archimedean copula and co-copula can formulate key operational rules according to various copula structures. The present study describes some innovative operational rules of linguistic spherical fuzzy values based on Archimedean copula and co-copula and explores their related characteristics. Following these operational rules, several linguistic spherical fuzzy extended power aggregation operators such as copula extended power average operator, copula extended power weighted average operator, copula extended power geometric operator, and copula extended power weighted geometric operator are developed. Meanwhile, numerous properties and peculiar cases of these aggregation operators are investigated at length. Utilizing the presented operators, a decision-making method is built to tackle multi-criteria decision-making problems with unknown weight information. Consequently, a case study of carbon capture and storage technology is addressed to demonstrate the practicability of the framed approach. At last, comparative and sensitivity analyses are performed to illustrate the efficacy and dominance of the developed strategy.
