Abstract
Shrub is one of the unique woody tree species in China. It has a long history of cultivation, a wide range of adaptability, high economic value and strong ecological function. It plays a very important role in the southern economic forest industry. Low temperature has a great impact on the afforestation and growth of the dormant shrub seeds in the northern edge of China, which is the bottleneck of the promotion of shrub plants in the northern edge of China. In this study, 10 kinds of dormant shrub seeds in China were selected as the research objects. The dormant shrub seeds were treated with different temperature and different time of low temperature stress. The physiological and biochemical indexes under different treatments were measured to comprehensively evaluate the cold tolerance of 10 kinds of dormant shrub seeds.
