Samenvatting

Zuurstofsaturatiemeters worden wereldwijd gebruikt op diensten voor intensieve zorgen, in de anesthesie en op spoedgevallen. Dat is niet verwonderlijk, want de zuurstofsaturatie in het bloed is de vijfde vitale parameter in de klinische evaluatie van een patiënt, naast pols, bloeddruk, temperatuur en ademhalingsfrequentie.
