Samenvatting

Het herkennen, diagnosticeren en behandelen van pijnlijke diabetische polyneuropathie is niet eenvoudig, zo blijkt uit de praktijk en bestaande literatuur. Om huisartsen en medisch specialisten te ondersteunen bij de diagnostiek en patiënten te behandelen volgens een goed gedefinieerd behandelingsalgoritme is er een zorgvernieuwing geïmplementeerd onder leiding van een verpleegkundig specialist.
