Welcome to the third issue of Medical Science Educator of 2016. This issue features a very large number of manuscripts reporting on medical education, which I hope will be of interest to you. It is good to see that so many educators find their way to Medical Science Educator to present their scholarly work. Topics again cover the entire spectrum of medical science teaching. In this issue, I also present to you the meeting report from the annual conference of the Group for Research in Pathology Education (GRIPE) which was held in San Diego, CA, on January 28–30, 2016.

This issue also contains the first of two special sections on Competencies, Milestones, and Entrustable Professional Activities. A large number of our readers responded to the call of the Editorial Board to submit manuscripts on this topic. The first half of the accepted articles will be presented in this issue. Read further in this issue my Introduction to the Theme.

I hereby invite educators from medical, nursing, dental, and veterinary schools to share their experiences in health science education with us. The goal of Medical Science Educator is to publish quality papers from an international authorship that are of interest to all who teach the sciences in healthcare. I therefore hope that you will enjoy this issue and that you will continue supporting Medical Science Educator both as a reader and as an author of your own scholarly work for the benefit of our work and the work of others!
