Validità dei sistemi di classificazione ecografica nell’identificare i noduli tiroidei da non sottoporre all’agoaspirato

Sommario

La prevalenza dei noduli tiroidei nella popolazione generale è in continuo incremento, e per almeno la metà dei noduli sottoposti a FNA il risultato della citologia è benigno. I sistemi di classificazione ecografica del rischio sono stati proposti anche come test di esclusione, utilizzati al fine di identificare i noduli che non necessitano di agoaspirato tiroideo. Scopo di questa rassegna è valutare le più recenti evidenze scientifiche sulla capacità delle classificazioni ecografiche del rischio nell’identificare i noduli da non sottoporre a FNA.
