FQs were drugs that contained any of the following compounds: ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, ofloxacin, sparfloxacin, norfloxacin, lomefloxacin, moxifloxacin, gemifloxacin, enoxacin, or pefloxacin. 'Current use' was defined as a FQ prescription filled within 60 days of the aortic aneurysm or dissection (i.e. index date). 'Past use' was defined as a FQ prescription filled between 61 and 365 days prior to the index date. 'Any prior-year use' was defined as a FQ prescription filled for ≥3 days in the 1-year period before the index date.
