Correction to: Maritime Studies
The original version of this article unfortunately contained mistakes.
Please see the description below.
1. Co-author Danielle Ringer’s affiliation and address are University of Alaska Fairbanks, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, Kodiak Seafood Marine Science Center, 118 Trident Way, Kodiak AK 99615.
2. In Figures 1, 3, 4, 6, and 9, Bristol Bay Borough (BBB) includes the communities of Naknek, King Salmon, and South Naknek.
3. In the Methods, Study Site section, the population for Kodiak city in 2010 was 6130 persons. The number of claiming Alaska Native identity, alone or in combination, in 2010 in Kodiak city was 858 (i.e., 14% of 6130).
4. In the Methods, Study Site section, 1301 enlisted personnel and their families live on base (not on the island of Kodiak as a whole). There are additional military personnel and family members in Kodiak city that live off base. The estimate of 17.5% of Kodiak city’s population is therefore likely an underestimate.
5. Corrected Figure 6 is shown below.
