Abstract
Decolorization potential of different dyes, namely Procion Red Yellow, Acid Yellow-9, Direct Orange-102 and Crystal Violet, by two NTG-induced mutants as well as a wild type of Pseudomonas fluorescens was studied. The mutant M1 possessed significantly better potential as compared to the wild type in the case of all the studied dyes. However, in the case of the mutant M2, there was a decrease in the decolorization of all the dyes. The decrease in decolorization was found to be increased with increasing concentration of the dyes.
