Abstract
Disaster Management requires initiatives taken by central and state governments, various communities; civil society organisations and media also have a key role to play in achieving our goal of moving together, towards a safer India. National development, projects should be sensitive towards disaster mitigation, with vulnerability reduction being the major mission. The main vision includes building of safer and secure India through sustained collective effort, synergy of national capacities and people’s participation. This will increase our capacities and capabilities and will become a lot easier as we move along together.
