The study was carried out as part of the research project called Bidirectional Charging Management - BDL, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt, DLR) is responsible for the three-year pilot project. In addition to the consortium leader BMW Group, the partners involved include: Kostal Industrie Elektrik GmbH, TenneT, Bayernwerk Netz GmbH, Forschungsstelle für Energiewirtschaft e. V. (FfE), Forschungsgesellschaft für Energiewirtschaft mbH, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), University of Passau and KEO GmbH. The authors would like to thank all partners in the BDL project who have provided them with valuable technical and methodological input during the design phase.
