The research project (FVV project no. 1264) was performed by the Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Conversion Systems (TME) at RWTH Aachen University under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Pischinger. Based on a decision taken by the German Bundestag, it was supported by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BWMK) and the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF) e. V. within the framework of the industrial collective research (IGF) program (IGF No. 19380 N/1). The project was conducted by an expert group led by Dr.-Ing. Helmut Kindl (Ford-Werke GmbH).
