Interstitielle Lungenerkrankungen sind zwar selten, dafür aber meist tödlich: „Sie treten 100mal seltener als Asthma auf, dennoch sterben jährlich mehr Menschen daran“, sagte Prof. Andreas Günther, Gießen. Ein antifibrotischer Wirkstoff kann die Mortalität bei Patienten mit idiopathischer Lungenfibrose zu senken.
