Immer mehr Patienten überleben auch langfristig ihre Tumorerkrankung. Die Rehabilitation ist heute daher ein aktiver Bestandteil der onkologischen Behandlung. Als dritte Säule stellt sie quasi den Startschuss für Cancer-Survivorship-Care dar.
