Tumortherapie-induzierte Diarrhö ist eine belastende und auch potenziell bedrohliche Nebenwirkung — gerade bei älteren oder untergewichtigen Patienten. Leichtere Verläufe lassen sich ambulant meist gut bewältigen, bei schwereren Verläufen ist aber oft eine stationäre Einweisung vonnöten. Wichtig ist es, die Patienten über das Risiko einer Diarrhö und gegebenenfalls erforderliche Reaktionen auf diese frühzeitig aufzuklären.
