Zusammenfassung
In der Dermatoonkologie hat ein dramatischer Umbruch begonnen. Es steht eine Vielzahl neuer Medikamente bereit und die Behandlungsalgorithmen haben sich entsprechend verändert. Neue Erkenntnisse zur Molekularpathologie und Immunbiologie des malignen Melanoms führten zur Entwicklung von MAPK-Inhibitoren und von Checkpointinhibitoren, die zu einer stärkeren körpereigenen Tumorabwehrreaktion führen. Beide Strategien haben die Überlebenschancen für Patienten mit fortgeschrittenem Melanom deutlich verbessert. Nun gilt es, sie optimal einzusetzen.
