Barcelona war auch in diesem Jahr Treffpunkt für die Experten für gastrointestinale Tumoren. Es wurden neue Behandlungsansätze vorgestellt, etwa Daten zum Antikörper IMAB362 beim Magenkarzinom. Aber es standen auch bekannte Probleme zur Diskussion, darunter die Frage nach Biomarkern für eine gegen VEGF-gerichtete Behandlung.
