Weil das Rhabdomyosarkom so stark streut, wird bei der Behandlung der Patienten großes Augenmerk auf die Metastasen gelegt. Dadurch wird aber die Bedeutung der lokalen Therapie für die Prognose der pädiatrischen Patienten leicht unterschätzt.
