Kinder mit Hochrisiko-Neuroblastom benötigen eine dosisintensive Chemotherapie mit Medikamenten, wie z. B. Cisplatin. Diese können aber das Gehör irreversibel schädigen und gerade bei sehr jungen Kindern zu Störungen der Sprach- sowie der schulischen und psychosozialen Entwicklung führen.
