Beim multiplen Myelom (MM) ist Melphalan/Prednison kombiniert mit Bortezomib oder Thalidomid für Patienten Standard, die für eine Hochdosis-Chemotherapie nicht geeignet scheinen. Die Zugabe von Thalidomid zu VMP und eine anschließende Erhaltungstherapie mit Bortezomib/Thalidomid verbesserten das 5-Jahres-Gesamtüberleben.
