Zunehmende Aufmerksamkeit in der Onkologie gewinnt die Nekroptose, ein programmierter Zelltod, der durch viele Chemo- und Radiotherapien im Tumor ausgelöst wird. Das MLKL (Mixed lineage kinase domain-like)-Protein gilt als Schlüsselfaktor für die Nekroptose und könnte daher als Biomarker dienen.
