Krebs und Stress — Folgen und mögliche Auswege

Mit circa einer halben Million Neuerkrankungen gehört Krebs, insbesondere Brust-, Prostata-, Darm- und Lungenkrebs, zu den häufigsten Erkrankungen und ist trotz verbesserter Diagnose- und Behandlungsmaßnahmen die zweithäufigste Todesursache in Deutschland. Stress als begünstigender Faktor für eine Tumorprogression bei verschiedenen Krebserkrankungen ist seit Längerem bekannt. Die Rolle von Stress bei der Krebsentstehung ist hingegen noch nicht eindeutig geklärt. Mind-Body-medizinische Verfahren könnten als Anti-Stress-Interventionen den Verlauf von Krebserkrankungen positiv beeinflussen.
