Diabetes ist die häufigste Stoffwechselerkrankung in Deutschland und kann in vielen Fällen Hautveränderungen verursachen. Diese können infektiös oder nicht infektiös bedingt sein und reichen von kosmetischen Beeinträchtigungen wie der diabetischen Dermopathie bis zu komplexen Erkrankungen mit hoher Morbidität und Mortalität wie dem diabetischen Fußsyndrom.
