Erkrankungen der endokrinen Organe rufen typische Erscheinungen an der Haut hervor, die gut durch die Wirkungen ihrer Hormone auf den Organismus erklärbar sind. Der Hautarzt kann der erste Ansprechpartner der Patienten mit solchen Erkrankungen sein, wenn die Hauterscheinungen anderen Symptomen vorausgehen. Deshalb ist eine Kenntnis der Zusammenhänge wichtig, um die Diagnostik in die richtige Richtung zu lenken.
