Immer mehr Patienten berichten über Weizenunverträglichkeiten, abdominelle oder extraintestinale Beschwerden, die durch Konsum von Weizen oder anderen glutenhaltigen Nahrungsmitteln hervorgerufen werden. Nach Schätzungen sind ca. 15% der Bevölkerung davon betroffen. Neben der Zöliakie gibt es weitere Erkrankungen, die als Ursache der Beschwerden infrage kommen.
