In der Sekundärprävention nach einem Schlaganfall muss ein geringer LDL-Cholesterin-Zielwert angepeilt werden — was aber häufig und aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht konsequent verfolgt wird. Ärzte sollten hier wachsam bleiben: Eine neue Studie zeigt den eindeutigen Nutzen eines niedrigen LDL-Cholesterin-Spiegels. Derweil sind einige Fachgesellschaften schon viel weiter.
