Ein 43-jähriger Patient stellt sich mit einem „Hexenschuss“ vor. Dieser habe am Vortag nach einer Drehbewegung im Rumpf begonnen. Auf Nachfrage verneint der Patient eine Ausstrahlung oder Hypästhesien der unteren Extremität. Er fühle sich ansonsten vollkommen gesund. Die Beweglichkeit lumbal ist eingeschränkt und die paravertebrale Muskulatur schmerzhaft. Für eine radikuläre Beteiligung ergibt sich in der Untersuchung kein Anhalt.
