Auf dem Kongress der European Society of Hypertension (ESH) 2018 hielt man an der Definition des Bluthochdrucks von ≥ 140/90 mmHg fest. Ist allerdings eine medikamentöse Blutdrucksenkung erforderlich, sollen Normalwerte von 120/70 bis 130/80 mmHg (nur bei guter Verträglichkeit und bei unter 65-Jährigen) angestrebt werden. Ein fauler Kompromiss? Keineswegs, sondern eine Empfehlung mit Augenmaß!
