Der Patient ist erst 24. Seit drei Jahren quälen ihn häufige Bauchschmerzen, schleimige Durchfälle, Krämpfe, wiederkehrendes leichtes Fieber und Mattigkeit. Besonders intensiv wurden die Anfälle vor Klausuren und anderen Prüfungen. „Ich muss aber durchhalten“, erklärt der Volkswirtschaftsstudent dem Arzt, der eine Colitis ulcerosa diagnostizierte. „Mein Vater ist Unternehmer, und er sagt, ich dürfe keine Schwäche zeigen, sonst sei Unternehmer der falsche Beruf.“
