Diabetiker erkranken signifikant häufiger an bakteriellen Infektionen als Nichtdiabetiker. Sie sind insbesondere von Osteomyelitis, Pyelonephritis, Zystitis, Pneumonien, Weichteil- und Hautinfektionen sowie Peritonitis betroffen. Der Autor hat nach möglichen Gründen gesucht.
