Das Karpaltunnelsyndrom ist das häufigste Engpasssyndrom eines peripheren Nervs. Der Patient bemerkt ein — teilweise schmerzhaftes — Einschlafen der Hand mit Ausstrahlung in die Schulter (Brachialgia paraesthetica nocturna).
