Die Prä-Expositionsprophylaxe (PrEP) bietet die Chance, gefährdete Personen gezielt vor HIV zu schützen. Die Effektivität bei Männern mit riskantem Sexualverhalten ist — gute Adhärenz und ärztliche Überwachung vorausgesetzt — gut. Die fehlende Kostenerstattung könnte sich jedoch als problematisch erweisen.
