Zusammenfassung

Ein Patient mit akutem oder chronischem Hüftschmerz klagt typischerweise über Leistenschmerz, seitlichen Hüft- oder über Gesäßschmerz, seltener auch über Knie-, Unterbauch oder tiefsitzenden Kreuzschmerz. In diesem Beitrag geben wir Tipps zur sinnvollen Differenzialdiagnostik und Antworten auf die Fragen: Wann kann man erst einmal zuwarten und konservativ therapieren, und wann sollte die Notwendigkeit eines primär operativen Vorgehens schon zu Beschwerdebeginn abgeklärt werden?
