Im Vergleich zu früher haben heute immer mehr ältere Menschen in Deutschland noch ihre eigenen Zähne. Somit sind sie bis ins hohe Alter anfällig für Karies und Parodontalerkrankungen, insbesondere, wenn sie pflegebedürftig werden. Um Folgeerkrankungen und Mangelernährung zu verhindern, lohnt der regelmäßige Blick in den Mund dieser Patienten.
