Ist das CT-Lungenkrebs-Screening sinnvoll?

Für die Prognose des Bronchialkarzinoms ist das Tumorstadium bei der Erstdiagnose entscheidend. Leider befinden sich 70% der Patienten zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits in einem fortgeschrittenen Stadium. Mit einer besseren Früherkennung könnten mehr Karzinome in einem kurablen Stadium entdeckt werden und mehr Patienten länger überleben. Welchen Stellenwert das CT-Lungenkrebs-Screening hier hat, wurde auf einer Pro- und Contra-Session während des diesjährigen Internisten-Kongresses diskutiert.
