Zusammenfassung

Halsschmerzen im Rahmen einer Pharyngitis bzw. akuten Tonsillitis gehören zu den häufigsten Beschwerden, die Patienten zu einer Arztkonsultation veranlassen. Meistens sind hierfür virale Infektionen verantwortlich. Bakterielle Tonsillitiden und deren Komplikationen sollten hiervon abgegrenzt und fachgerecht behandelt werden.
