Zusammenfassung
Bei den Funktionsstörungen der Schilddrüse unterscheidet man die Hypo- und die Hyperthyreose. Bei einer Hypothyreose sind die Beschwerden stark variabel und können vor allem bei älteren Patienten oft uncharakteristisch sein. Die häufigste Ursache der Unterfunktion ist die Hashimoto-Thyreoiditis. Einer Überfunktion der Schilddrüse liegt am häufigsten eine funktionelle Autonomie oder ein Morbus Basedow zugrunde. Auf den folgenden Seiten erfahren Sie, welche Labordiagnostik und Bildgebung zu veranlassen und wie die Hypo- und die Hyperthyreose medikamentös zu behandeln sind.
