Die hepatische Enzephalopathie (HE) ist eine reversible neuropsychiatrische Störung, die als Komplikation einer chronischen oder akuten Lebererkrankung auftritt. Bei der Suche nach Auslösern sollten Infektionen und Magen-Darm-Blutungen im Vordergrund stehen. Diese bizarre Krankheit schränkt die Lebensqualität massiv ein und muss daher umfassend angegangen werden.
