A specific characteristic of the diabetic foot — the diabetic-neuropathic osteoarthropathy

Der Charcot-Fuß ist eine potenziell verheerende Komplikation des Diabetes mellitus, die im ungünstigen Verlauf zur Amputation führen kann. Daher ist es wichtig, dass Sie bei entsprechender Klinik (Schwellung, Rötung, Überwärmung) frühzeitig daran denken. Bei den Betroffenen selbst ist das Krankheitsempfinden bei dem nicht schmerzhaften und wenig bedrohlich erscheinenden lokalen Befund oft nur mäßig ausgeprägt.
