Pregabalin, das bislang als Antiepileptikum und Analgetikum eingesetzte Analogon des Neurotransmitters GABA, hat beim Restless-Legs-Syndrom (RLS) eine ebenso gute Wirkung wie der Dopaminagonist Pramipexol, führt aber deutlich seltener zu dem unangenehmen Phänomen der Augmentation.
