Koffein als analgetisches Adjuvans ist seit vielen Jahren in der Diskussion. Eine neuere Cochrane-Analyse wertete 19 Studien mit insgesamt 7238 Patienten aus. Dabei zeigte sich, dass Koffein die Wirksamkeit von Paracetamol, Ibuprofen und Acetylsalicylsäure steigert.
