Wie jede andere Wissenschaft ist die Medizin ständigen Neuerungen unterworfen. Nur durch diese Dynamik gibt es Fortschritte, die uns in die Lage versetzen, heute Krankheiten zu behandeln, für die wir gestern noch kein Konzept hatten. Als Ärzte sind wir aufgerufen, an dieser Entwicklung teilzuhaben, wenn nicht aktiv in Wissenschaft und Forschung, so doch dadurch, dass wir die neuen Erkenntnisse den uns anvertrauten Patienten zugutekommen lassen.
